Good hotel to stay at Kottayam

We stayed at the hotel for a day. We had taken four rooms and even though the trip was on a short notice, the staff was courteous enough to arrange the rooms within a short notice. The food was also nice . The staff are also highly helpful. The hotel is situated in the heart of Kottayam town. I would recommend this hotel anytime.

Clean and spacious rooms.

We have stayed here between May 3-6, 2018. The room was very clean and spacious, unlike most hotels. There was quite a bit of furniture too: two chairs and coffee table, a dresser, study table with chair and another teepoy, in addition to the cupboard and a huge bed, which is more than sufficient for a family of four. Despite the furniture the room was spacious enough room for four to move around without colliding with each other. The restaurant at the hotel offers limited dishes, but these were very tasty. The accompanying coconut chutney with dosa is very tasty and so also the chicken gravy. The staff manning the reception were very courteous and fluent in English, unlike the other places that I have visited at Kerala. All in all, the stay here was very comfortable. If ever I have to go to Kottayam, this is the place where I will stay again.

irresponsible Receptionist!

We were staying here from 24th Nov till 26th Nov 2017. The rooms are spacious, clean, located at centre of the city... But we did not get good response in the reception. A group of persons sit at the reception, giggle and laugh, and don’t answer properly. Whenever we made some enquiries, a receptionist , carelessly gave us a irresponsible reply, looking at his phone Though, this hotel is economical for its infrastructure, we will avoid this hotel in future.

The location is within the city centre and there is easy access with parking facility, Since the Indian Coffee house is also located on the same building, the shared parking can become crowded during lunch and dinner timings. The Hotel has a good restaurant which has better ambience. Housekeeping requires better management regarding cleaning and service. It is slightly overpriced specially without offering complimentary breakfast. For those staying in higher floors, one has to depend on a single lift with a capacity for four persons. Bottled water is provided at extra cost which also should have been included. A/C rooms have wide windows but with opaque panes barring any view !!

Good stay but rate is not so ideal for the price that we paid as breakfast in not included. Lady Receptionist should atleast know how to speak English so that she can help her guest. Mostly the staff are not speaking English.
